Well today the boys headed back to school. They woke up early to a yummy breakfast and off to get ready and of course picture time. I can't believe they are both in Jr. High, bittersweet for me and Mike. I am so glad that get to have a year together at school. They came home with smile and excited to go tomorrow. Hopefully that last the whole year.

for school to start again and one of my favorite things football. I love watching my older boys play football. They are super excited and can't wait. I can't believe that this time of the year is here already. Where did our summer go? We have had a fun and very eventful summer, I hate to see it go, but am super excited to watch Austen and Tanner play football and for Jake to tag along like he is part of the team.

So Day #7 is a picture that will make you laugh. I chose this picture because every time I look at it or even think of this day I laugh. This is my nephew in this picture he is 6 and he in now going to turn 18 so after 12 years we are still laughing. Justin got a really bad sunburn when he was ice fishing with his dad the dad before Valentine's Day. When they got home from fishing he looked normal, but that next morning when he woke up and went and into his parents room to say Happy Valentine's Day this is what his face looked like. I remember my sister bringing him to my parents house and all of didn't know if we should cry or laugh. He had just little slits for eyes and when he smiled he looked like a different kid. This kid has had many moments that we can looked back on and laugh, but this one has to be one of those pictures that not makes me laugh, but we all get a kick out of it.

Day #6! Changing place with someone. I thought about this and many people went through my head most of them rich and famous, but then I thought how great it would be to change places with my 3 boys. Austen one who has a care free life and is just loving life. He enjoys every minute of his day, until he has to go to bed, but he seriously has not a worry or care in the world right now. Tanner he is just always wanting to make people laugh. He loves to chill on the couch and watch his favorite show and once again not a worry or care in the world. Jake he is just a busy body. Loving being with his brothers, and just enjoying be outside and playing until he crashes. I sit and look at these boys and wonder how it would be just to know everything is taken care of and there aren't any worries. I love these 3 boys more then anything and to spend a day in their shoes would be a day well spent.

is the challenge for Day #5. I love to create memories and love spending time with my family and friends and creating these wonderful times. This was a hard one because I have so many fun memories it is hard to pick just a few.

The time we spent in California. I love traveling with my whole family and the memories we have created are priceless. Looking forward to many more vacation with my family.

A picture of you and a person you have been close to for the longest. This was kinda hard for me because I have many people in my life that I have been super close to. My dad, mom, sisters and brother. We are a close family and they have always been there for me and my family, but the one person I feel that I have grown closet too over the years is this sweet guy!I know love the picture right, but he is always pulling some face in every picture we have together so this is what you get. I love this guy more then life it's self. I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. He brings me to much joy and happiness and over the years that we have been married he has been my rock, my shoulder to cry on, my person to vent on, puts up with my whining and complaining, encourages me and the boys to always follow our dreams and goals, a WONDERFUL father to his boys, and most of all just being married to me. He is a man of great patients and provides well for his family. Just writing this makes me tear up because I feel that I have truly been blessed to have such a wonder person in my life. I love this guy and am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with this sweet man!

St.Patty's Day!

Just like every other year we had to have our "GREEN" dinner on St. Patrick's Day! My family had the big family dinner the Sunday I was in Vegas so I didn't get any pictures of that but the boys had Mike said it was yummy and of course "GREEN". So on Thursday we had our dinner and made everything green. The boys requested breakfast for dinner so that is what they got. We had green pancakes, eggs, milk, juice, and they loved all of it. Austen struggled eating the green eggs, but got over it once he knew they tasted the same. We had a great dinner other then one little problem. Tanner burnt the bacon. He loves to help and decided to put the bacon in the microwave for 4 mins on a paper plate and not watch it. Not long after that I see smoke pouring out of the microwave and a horrible smell. He had to give me a hard time since not to long ago I put easy mac in the microwave without the water. I guess you can say he takes after his mom. So other then the stinky smell we had a great St. Patty's day and no one got pinch cuz we were all wearing green!

Yes this is what we have been doing for the last several months now. We have one or two games during the week and then Austen and Tanner both play on Saturdays. I have to admit Mike and

I absolutely love watching our boys play ball. We are so proud of both of them.

Valentine's Day 2011

I am so blessed to have 4 sweethearts in my life that bring me so much joy, love, and happiness. I am truly a blessed mom and wife to have such a wonderful husband who I adore and love even more everyday. Three handsome sons that make me smile everyday and just knowing I was picked to take care of them and love them with all my heart. Words can not express how much I love them all. For Valentine's Day we did are usually heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, red juice and a kiss on the cheek from mom before they left for school. Then why they were at school I went to work turning our table into a candle light dinner. The boys look forward to it ever year and Jake getting a little older absolutely loved it. We had a great little dinner and told everyone how much we love each and other and of course we ended the night with a KISS goodnight from mom.

Extreme Makeover 2010

Mathew's Plumbing got he opportunity to do some plumbing on the Extreme Makeover Home in Pocatello. They worked endless hours, but loved every minute of they felt that the family was a very deserving family. Mike invited me and the boys to come down a couple times and see the house be done. It was amazing seeing all of the people that were donating their time and doing something so nice for another family. When they were all done on the last night we got invited to go down to a V.I.P party and have dinner and they had a little dance. It was fun we got some picture we the STARS of the show and the dinner was yummy. I just want to tell my husband, brother, brother-in-law and my dad how proud of them I am and they are awesome for all their hard work they put in to make this house turn out for such a wonderful family.

Jake's 1st day of Pre-School

Jake started Pre-School today and was so excited he could barely wait till it was time to go. He has wanted to go to school like the brothers and has been waiting for this day to come. He was up and ready to go way before it was time. I was so proud of him and he was such a big boy walked right into school met the teacher(Grandma Carter) and sat in his desk. We have been so lucky to have grandma be a Pre-School teacher my kids have loved going to grandma school and we couldn't ask for a better teacher to get them already for kindergarten. Thanks mom! I just can't believe how big he is getting and he brings our family so much joy and happiness.

I can't believe that summer is over and the boys are back to school. We had a great summer filled with lots of fun things to do. Know it is time to get back to the grind of schedules, homework and the dreaded bedtimes. The boys were really excited to start school. Tanner was super excited thought it was pretty cool to be the in the oldest in the school 6th grade. I can remember feeling pretty special being the oldest kids in the school. He got a great teacher so he should have a great year! Austen headed off to the MIDDLE school. I just can't believe he is old enough to be in the middle school. Call me crazy, but he should still be my little boy who loves to play in the dirt and with his cars, but instead his interests have changed to sport, sports, sports, and more sports. They both looked very handsome heading off to school. I am super proud of both of them and wish them the best school year!

that would be football season for us. Austen and Tanner have both started football and are loving every minute of it. They have been practicing every night and working really hard. This Sat. they had a Jamboree and both did very well in it. I love this time of the year and watching them makes me one proud mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of weekends ago my parents invited us all up camping with them at West Yellowstone. We packed up all of our camping stuff and off we went Friday afternoon. Once we got there and got camp all set up the kids were off playing. They had tons of things for the kids to do and believe me they did it all from swimming, ride bikes that you can rent there, miniature golfing, and anything else they could come up with. My parents had a great idea to watch a movie under the stars one night so the boys put up a sheet on the side of the camper and we watch How to Train a Dragon it was a lot of fun and the kids thought it was great. We had a great time relaxing, laughing, playing game and just doing nothing. Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend and for making such fun memories.

I just love my boys they bring Mike and I lots of joy and happiness and watching them grow is fun but yet challenging hoping that you guide them and raise them to be good boys. Saying this I have always wrote down little things that they say and Jake is going through a little stage of saying the cutest things. The other day we went to my sister's ward and he saw a picture of Joseph Smith. It was so cute he knew who he was and that he went and prayed in the forest and that Heavenly Father and Jesus came to him. Well this last Sunday on our way home from camping I was asking him these following questions our conversation went like this:

Me: Jake what did Joseph Smith do?

Jake: Prayed in the forest (action folding his arms)

Me: Who came to Joseph Smith?

Jake: I don't know mom( long pause)

Me: What angels appeared to Joseph Smith?

Jake: The Blue Angels

I looked at Mike and we just busted up laughing, he was so funny and was as serious has could be. Later after we stopped laughing he says, Mom I kidding it was Heavenly Father and Jesus. This just melts my heart. When I don't think he is listening cause he is going up and down and all around while we are reading the scriptures he is and he is taking it all in.

After 3 days at Disneyland and California Adventure we headed over to Knoxberry Farm and Soak City. We had a lot of fun. We went to the water park and I felt like a horrible mom. Tanner got burned really bad on his shoulders the day we were at the beach. I was really good about putting sunscreen on everyone before we let, but he had his shirt on and I missed his shoulders. He tried really hard to be tough and enjoy the water park, but with his shoulders burnt he enjoyed soaking in the wave pool and relaxing with me in the sun. The kids loved the water park they played for hours. Jake and Carter loved the kids area and the bigger boys headed over to the crazy slides. It was a nice and relaxing day.

California Adventure!

The day after the beach we headed to California Adventure theme park. We had a lot of fun here and the kids loved it. Jake loved Lighting McQueen, the boys loved California Soaring, California Screamer and the Parade was so cute. One of the rides that we loved was The Bugs Life. They have a little show and it is 3D and it is so darn cute we had to watch it 3 or 4 time. It was nice and cool and was nice to just sit and relax for a few minutes. We saw Handy Manny which was the only character Jake wanted to see other then Buzz and Woody. I convinced my boys to go on the Tower of Terror that is a fun ride. We had the boys keep running back and forth to get fast pass. They went and went just like at Disneyland I don't think they stopped at all. This was another fun filled day and there is still more to come...................................

Day 2 The Beach

So the second day we headed to the beach to soak up some of the warm sunshine, played in the sand and played in the water. We went to Newport Beach and had a nice relaxing day. The kids played in the sand my sisters, mom and me tried to get some sun. The big boys played in the ocean and after everyone had enough sand from one end to the other we headed to walk the Pier and they had a little Farmer's Market type thing going on that we walk around and got some yummy fresh fruit.

Disneyland Day 1

Finally getting around to post about our wonderful 10 day vacation. We had a great time and made a lot of fun memories. We were on the go the whole time and loved every minute of it. We had great weather and the boys had the time of their life. The first day we headed to Disneyland up early and ready to go. We got all the pictures with the characters and then headed to the rides. The boys did great and loved running from ride to ride with their cousins. We spent the whole day there sat and watched the parade and got back to the hotel around 11:00 just in time to catch a little zzzzzzzz's before we headed out the next day.

I was going through some pictures that I have on my computer and came across some of my grandma. I absolutely love this lady. She is such a great example to me and someone I love spending time with. I me be bias but I do have the best grandma in the world. My grandma has been a great teacher, friend and role model for me. Some of my favorite memories of her are going to her house and feeling welcome, loved and being able to dance and play for hours in their beautiful yard. We have made several girl weekends to SLC and those have been the best trips ever being able to spend time with her, my sisters and mom and laughing for hours. My grandma brings life to the parties that we have. I always love knowing that she is going to be there and we can chit chat and laugh over anything really. She make killer cucumbers in vinegar, and she one of the best cooks I know along with my mother and sister. I just wanted to put together a little post about my grandma. I look at the pictures I have and she makes me smile just looking at them knowing she is my grandma and how special I am to have such a wonderful person in my life. I love you more then anything grandma!

Annual Yellowstone Trip

Couple of weekends ago we head up to the park with Mike's family. The boys were super excited to go see the animals and spend time with their cousins. We froze our behinds off, but had a great time. We love spending time with family and just being together whether its freezing or sunny we always enjoy each others company.

Austen's Track Meet!

This year Austen got to do a track meet for 6th grade. He did the 75 meter dash, the 4X100 meter relay, and the softball throw. He did very well he got 3rd in the 4X100, 2nd in the 75 meter dash and 1st in the softball throw. He was ranked the 3rd fast boy in District 93. Austen worked really hard and Mike and I are very proud of him. I went over and watched him and it brought tears to my eyes. I just can't believe that my little boy is growing up. Everyday I struggle with this because he is growing right before my eyes. I just wanted him to know how proud he makes his mom and dad and we are so excited for all of his hard work and the effort he put forward in his track meet.

Where did May Go?

This month has slipped away so fast. We have been super busy with birthdays, track meets, D.A.R.E graduation and baseball. And lets add anything extra that gets through in between all of that going on. We are super excited for summer and waiting for the warm weather to come. So lets cross our fingers for warm sunny weather. So this post is for all those who keep telling me they want to see something else besides Jake's tooth which for a quick little update they are doing great and are coming in more and more maybe by the time he is in school it will be right in place.
First May is filled with birthday's in our family. My mom had her birthday on the 7th and we went to a yummy dinner and gave her the picture we had taken of me and my sibling for her house. They turned out good. We had a good time getting them done and made some fun memories doing them. I have the best mom ever and am so grateful for her and all that she has taught me. I hope you had a great birthday mom! Luv you tons.

Next we had Tanner's graduation for D.A.R.E. I was really proud of him he wrote a great essay about what he learned in D.A.R.E this year. He is a good kid and was super excited to graduate. Good job Tanner! Luv ya tons

Billy Bobby Smile........

that is what we have at our house. Jake has a Billy Bob smile. While Mike and I were Arizona I got a call from my sister telling me that Jake hit his front teeth on her coffee table and she can't not find his tooth. I tried to keep myself under control until I saw the picture of my poor baby. I instantly broke down in tears that I wasn't there for my baby. So my sister called the dentist which I work for and my sweet dad and sister headed up to the office to have the doctor look at it. I was worried about how he would do without his mom or dad and keep calling my sister to find out the news. Finally my sister called me back and said that the x-ray show the tooth has been shoved all the way up into his gums and it should re-erupt on it's own. Well it has been a week and we are starting to see the tooth again. It is coming in crooked and looks a little funny, but we are just going to continue to watch it and see how it looks once it comes all the way in. I just wanted to make note that I am sure this is not the last injury with this kid.
He is always on the go and the funny thing is that my sister sent me a picture the next day and he was jumping off her fireplace, I guess nothing stops him. So for now we have a Billy Bob smile and I am still praying that it comes in straight and everything go perfect, but the way it looks now I am not sure.

Arizona

This last week we headed to Arizona! We left early Wed. morning and drove to Las Vegas. We decided to leave Tanner and Jake behind with my family since we were going to a wedding and really no where for them to hang out during the wedding. So Mike, Austen, me and Mike's sister Suzy headed down for some fun. We had a great time spent a couple days in Las Vegas. Had a wonderful time with family, went to a very pretty wedding with a beautiful bride and groom. And visited Mike's parents home in Wickenburg. It was a cute little town and they have a cute little home that they stay in down there during the winters. We laughed until late at night, relaxed, did a little shopping, ate some yummy food, and had a great time. Austen was excited to go he loves to spend time with his cousins. And was so excited to see Aaron before he left on his mission here in the next week. Aaron has a Mustang and he took Austen on some pretty crazy rides. Austen had the time on his life and is hoping he can get a car like Aaron's when he can drive. It was great to get away and relax and spend time with family. Now it is time to start to prepare for our next family vacation. Disneyland here we come!

Looking for a Home..........

we are looking for a good home for our cute little dog! He is a good dog and needs a good home with lots of love. He is a Shitzu white and brown and very well behaved. We love him tons and wish we good keep him, but with our busy shedules, we feel bad always having to leave poor Charlie behind. We are looking to find him a home that we know he will be loved and cared for. Charlie is great with little kids and loves to cuddle. He is potty trained and loves to just chill and hang with the family. If anyone is interested just let us know. We would love for someone to enjoy Charlie just as we have and to love him.

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day. We started the day of going to church and right after church we headed to my moms for some yummy BBQ. I have to say that my mom makes the best BBQ and I could literally eat the whole pan. I just wanted to thank my mom for the yummy dinner. You are such a wonderful mother and I love you so much thanks for being such a great example to me and my little family. I truly have the BEST mother in the world. After dinner we headed home and took a little nap. Got up and set up for the Valentine dinner that we have every year. The boys look forward to it every year and Jake being a little older thought it was pretty cool to eat dinner with candle light. They boys got some yummy candy and guns that I am ready to throw out the window.(what was I thinking). I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I have the best husband and am so grateful to have him in my life. He works hard to provide for his family and I just want him to know how much I love him and thank him for being my best friend. I love you hunny! I also have the best boys in the world. Yes they have their days were I am ready to pull my hair out, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I am so proud of them and want them to know how proud I am of them and how much I love each of them. Happy Valentine's Day to my sweet little family.

Pine Wood Derby 2010

Tanner had his Pinewood Derby a couple of Saturdays ago. He did very well he was super happy with his car and he got a lot of badges. He is a working really hard on getting his Webelos stuff done before his birthday. I am so proud of him and all of is hard work. We love you Tanner and good job on your Pinewood Derby!

My mom is always asking me to update my blog and it just seems that is not enough time in a day to do everything I would like to do, but tonight I have a little free time. Jake went to bed early the boys are content watching a movie and my sweet hubby is out of town working.
Can't believe the new year is here and already getting to the end of the first month. We have been really busy with the boys and basketball that pretty much takes up our time. They are doing really good at ball this year and I am really proud of them. We are trying really hard to take in all the sledding and playing in the snow that we can. We don't have much to play in, but we make it work.

Crazy week, but yet very eventful!

Last week was crazy, but we had fun doing everything that we had to do. We have had Halloween parties, Birthday parties, and many other events. First we started out the week with a little Halloween party at our house with my family. I love having parties so we thought we would get together and have some Halloween fun. The boys had fun decorating the garage. We have pizza and then carved our pumpkins. We had fun laughing and listening so the Halloween spooks.

Last but not least Mike and I threw Austen a birthday party with some friends. We had a lot of fun planning it. We had everyone meet at our house and then split them up in teams and gave them instructions for the scavenger hunt which we had in Wal-Mart. The boys loved it. Mike and I wondered around while the were on the hunt and we laughed the whole time watching the boys try to find everything on their list. After that we headed back to our house for some pizza and to open up present. Then we headed to cosmic bowling. The boys loved the bowling they thought it was pretty cool to bowl in the dark with the crazy lights going and the black lights. It was a great night and the boys had a blast which is all that matters.

And our finally event was Trick or Treating on Saturday. We headed up to Mike's parents and carved some more pumpkins with his family. Then came home got all dressed up in our Halloween costumes and headed down to grandma Carter for some Trick or Treating. My mom and dad had some yummy hamburgers and homemade fries. It was delicious. I only have a picture of Jake my little cowboy. I can't believe I didn't get one of Austen and Tanner. They were gone getting candy before I could snap one. I will have to get one. Tanner was hilarious he was a inflatable Ninja guys. Austen well he was a Hawaii guy one moment and then football player the next. He couldn't make up his mind. We had a great Halloween, a busy one, but one that we will remember for every. Now time to prepare for the Holidays! I can't wait this is my favorite time of the year.

The next month will be football, football and more football. The boys are keeping us going with football. They both have had 2 games and are doing great I am very proud of both of them and all of their hard work. They practice 3 times a week and them one game a week so it keeps them busy. Tanner is playing on the 5th grade team and Austen is playing on the 6th grade team. Mike and I love watching them and cheering them on from the sides. Keep up the good work boys.

1st Day of School!

The boys have been in school for a couple of weeks now and are loving it. They are both happy with their teachers and so far are doing good. I still can't believe that summer is gone and fall is on the way. On the 1st day of school they were up ready had a yummy breakfast then of course had to take some pictures of the boys. I can't believe how much they have grown since last year. To sit and watch them grow makes me so sad, but at the same time I am loving it they are growing to be good boys and I love all three of them tons!

It's sad but true our summer has come to an end. The boys start school on Monday and are excited and not very happy at the same time. With this comes the regular bed times, homework and not being able to go go go. We have had a great summer, cousins came for 2 weeks, camping, water park trips and spending late nights with friends and family. Last week we thought we would take one more little hoop la before the 1st day of school. We headed up to Jackson Friday and stayed the night and then spent the day in Jackson. We walked around the downtown, ate a yummy dinner, got our old fashion picture taken and then watched the gun fight in the middle of town the boys had a great time. I think their favorite part was the candy store that had any kind of candy imaginable. Austen and Tanner also started football and have been going every night for 2 hours. They have really enjoyed it so far. This is my favorite time of the year I absolutely love watching them play sports and this is one of my favorite they both do very well and am very proud of them.

Cabin Fun!

This last weekend we head up to Yellowstone to do some camping with my parents who were camping at a KOA up there. We decided to join them and spend the night in a little cabin that you can rent up there. We had a great time. The boys spent most of their time swimming with Hannah and Halle. They loved the pool even though the water was freezing cold, but that didn't stop them from swimming, We also rented some bikes they had there they were fun. My mom and me laughed so hard, when Mike and my dad sent us with all the kids to pedal around. We had a wonderful dinner my sweet mother prepared and my dad cooked some great steaks. After dinner we sat around the campfire and visited while the kids enjoyed a show in grandma and grandpas trailer. We had a great time and the company was great. Just a little warning picture overload.

The last couple of weeks have been a ton of fun. Mike's sister is visiting and we have been going and going. The other night we headed to the bowling alley for some time on the lanes. The kids had a ton of fun. They bowled on a lane and the adults bowled on a lane it was a lot of fun and we had many laughs. After bowling we headed over to Suzie's for some pie to celebrate Amber's birthday.

We had a great 4th of July. We started out with the parade with the kids and then headed over to the park for a picnic with the whole family. We had some yummy salads, dessert, and chicken. We visited with family, the kids played on the toys and then my aunt Linda brought a pinata for the kids. We had a wonderful time visiting then we packed up and headed over to the green belt to watch the fireworks. We hung out at the green belt had a sandwich, and walked down to the festivities they had going on. It was wonderful weather and it was great to visit and get caught up on all the exciting news with the fam. We are super excited for Shayna she is expecting her first baby and she has been waiting a long time. Congrats Shayna and Cameron.

That is how we spent our day yesterday fishing with the Sorensen family. Mike's sister is up from California for a couple of weeks and the boys have loved spending time with their cousins. Yesterday we headed to the nature park to do a little fishing. The boys had the time of their lives they enjoyed playing, fishing and feeding the ducks. Austen and Tanner loved fishing. Tanner was a catching machine. Austen well he waited patiently and finally caught one he was pretty excited. Jake well, he fished a little, but he was mostly interested in the worms. He even tried to eat one. After that the worms went away. We had a nice and relaxing day. I am sure we will be heading back out to do a little fishing I guess I never knew how much the boys enjoyed it.

So it being Father's Day I thought I would do a little post of my dad and tell him how much I love him and thanks for being a great dad. I have such a wonderful dad. I feel so blessed to have such a love and caring dad who loves me and has always been there for me. With everything I have put my dad through I still know that he loves me and will always be there for me. My dad is such a great grandpa and goes on and beyond for his children and grandchildern. He is a great supporter and has been there for us in everything that we had done. My dad is a great joker he always thinks he has one up on you, but little does he know that we are always thinking a head, he is one that can make you drop dead in you track with his silent and deadly gas, he loves spending time with his family camping, and being a grandpa and being around his grandchildren who love him more than anything is one of his greatest joys. I just wanted to tell my dad thanks for all that you do for me and my family we love you so much and are so grateful to have you in our lives. Thanks for all of your support and for being such a great dad and grandpa. Have a Happy Father's Day. We love ya!

Austen and Tanner have both started baseball and it is keeping us busy. The boys play ball every night and with practice we are always running. I have to say I don't mind the running I really enjoy watching my boys play ball. Jake has been super easy now that he is old enough to go and play on the toys if they are close enough. Austen is doing great, it is amazing to watch them grow from year to year and the progress they make. He is becoming a good little ball player. Tanner is doing really well also I love watching him bat, he looks so nervous, but with out any hesitation he shocks the ball all the way out there every time. I just want them both to know I love them and am so proud of them.

D.A.R.E Graduation!

Earlier this month Austen had his D.A.R.E graduation. He was pretty excited to graduate from D.A.R.E. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the whole graduation the officer's went to alot of work to put it together and the kids thought it was great. Austen wrote a very good essay about what he learned in D.A.R.E and I was very proud of him for making such a great decision to pledge to be drug free. CONGRATS Austen!

Just wanted to wish all the wonderful women in my life a very Happy Mother's Day! I have had so many wonderful examples in my life and I have learned and tried so hard to be like them. I have 2 wonderful grandmothers who are such wonderful ladies. They are 2 of the most beautiful people and I look up to them in so many ways. I strive everyday to be like them. My sisters are also such wonderful mother's that I look up to they are such good examples to me. I love getting together with my sister's whether we are going shopping, laughing or just being together at someones house. We can laugh for hours over nothing, but being able to spend time with them means so much to me and I just wanted the to know how wonderful the are. My sister's have helped me become a better mother, cook, and person all together I love them so much and hope they both have a wonderful Mother's Day they deserve it. In the last five years I have been very blessed with a wonderful mother-in-law. I can honestly say that I have the best mother-in-law. She is such great support, has a overwhelming love for her family and willing to help out in any situation. I have been so lucky to have such a wonderful person help me grow and be a better mother and wife everyday. I just wanted to tell her how much I love her and am so thankful to have her in my life. And my mom! Words can not express how much I love and appreciate my mother. I would not be the person I am today without her. Everyday she is there to listen, to get my frustration out on, and just to be my friend. I have been taught so many wonderful qualities from watching my mother and watching how she helps others around her. With all the hard times I have put her through she has always been there with her arms wide open and willing to help me get through whatever came my way. I just wanted to tell her I love you her and THANKS for being the mom your are I am truly blessed to have you in my life. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you wonderful mother's out there and I hope you all have the most relaxing and enjoyable day!

This weekend is going to be a crazy one. It seems we will be going in some many different direction and we will be having a little bit of extra company staying with us. Tonight Mike and Austen went on a camp out for scouts. It was kinda sad getting them ready to go. I have not came to terms with Austen being old enough to go on over nighters with the scouts. Mike kind of got after me I was going over board making sure Austen was well prepared and Mike told me I needed to relax a little and he will be fine, but it's my first and I like I said before not quite sure about the whole thing it's a bitter sweet thing. While those two are camping I am home with 5 kids. We have my sister's kids this weekend they went to California for a wedding. Love having them around, but there is no way I could handle 6 kids all of the time. Well maybe if they were my own, but highly doubt it. This weekend is full of football games and hopefully we can throw in a little yard work somewhere in between there. Well I am off to round the little ones up and get them ready for bed. Yes, peace and quiet time. Also want to tell my nephew Jace Happy Birthday he turns 12 today. Love you and hope you have the best BIRTHDAY ever!

Tanner's 10th Birthday!

Today my little Tanner turned 10. I look back and think how fast time has gone and to me there is no way possible he can be 10 already. His day started out with a yummy pancake breakfast then headed off to school. He had his spring program today at school and did a great job. Then we came home and got ready to have a party. Tanner wanted a hamburger cake and hamburgers for his birthday dinner. So Mike fried up some hamburgers on the grill and he had grandma's and grandpa's over for a yummy dinner. I just wanted to tell Tanner how much I love him and that I am so proud of him, he does super well in school and is growing up to be such a nice kid.

Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen! Mike's parent's spent the winter down in Arizona this year. They both retired this summer and have been having tons of fun and enjoying their retirement. After the first of the year they headed down to the warm weather and to soak up some sun. They came home in February for a baptism and then headed right back to the warm weather. It was so nice to see them, but the time they were here was way to short. We have missed them tons this winter and it hasn't been the same with them not around. This week they will be headed back home to the cold weather, hopefully it warms up a little so they are excited they came home. We are so excited to have them home and the boys can't wait to be able to go up to their house and see them. We went up last Saturday to get their house and yard all ready for them to come home. We raked the twigs and leaves and then put up some Easter stuff and Jake just can't figure out where they are every time we go up to their house he walks around saying, Papa and can't seem to find him so this week he should be able to find him and give them both hugs and kisses. Can't wait to see them!

Green, Green, Green that is all we saw today everywhere we went. Our St. Patty's Day all started on Sunday when we headed down to Steph's for the famous Green dinner. Every year we all get together and have dinner and everything we eat is dinner. This year we had hamburgers, green buns, green salad, green ranch, green potato salad, ice cream and green cupcakes. The decoration we so cute my mom and sister did a great job with them. My kids love it that can't wait when March comes around to have the green dinner. So this morning we woke up got all of our green on and I have to agree with Chris I tried to draw a shamrock on my boys cheek, but just like her boys they turned me down. Tanner did let me put a shamrock tattoo on his arm, but that was it. Tonight was crazy busy, anything from dance, to scouts you name it we had it, so our own little green dinner wasn't going to happen, but when I got home from dance and grabbed Austen from scouts. We came in the door and my wonderful husband had made us a green dinner. He made green eggs, green pancakes, bacon and green milk. I have to admit I was really surprised and the kids were super excited, but I guess my family traditions are starting to wear off on him after 5 years. I love this guy and he makes my life so much easier. Thanks honey for the green dinner we loved it. I hope everyone had a great green day and now let's hope it gets warm so we can have a Easter egg hunt soon!

Yummy Dinner Tonight!

I wanted to do a little a post of Dinner tonight! I was so proud of myself. Last little while Mike as been complaining of having the same things every week. So I am trying so hard to switch the menu up a little and tonight I scored BIG with the family. I have to give credit to my sister Chris for the recipe she is such a good cook and I wish I could cook like her. I try and sometimes I succeed and other times I fail, but hey at least I try. Well tonight we had the Bacon Cheeseburger Roll-ups

Recipe from the Kraft Foods website...
1 lb. lean ground beef
4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped
{I used the stuff already in the bag...not bacon bits though}
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 pkg. (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust
HEAT oven to 400°F.
Brown ground beef with bacon and onions in large skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Return meat mixture to skillet. Add VELVEETA; cook until melted, stirring frequently. Cool 10 min.
UNROLL dough onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Press into 15x8-inch rectangle; top with meat mixture. Roll up, starting at one of the long sides. Rearrange if necessary so roll is seam-side down.
BAKE 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown.
Serve with a litle ketchup, mustard, and green salad or fruit and you have a great meal.

Valentine's Day!

We had such a wonderful Valentine's Day! First we started out with a basketball game with Tanner and he did very well I was so proud of him. Then we headed home changed clothes and took the kids to Red Robin for lunch, they loved it. Jake was a little scared of the Red Robin bird that walks around, he wasn't really interested in eating just watching out for the bird to come around. After lunch we headed to pick up some heart pizzas for dinner and then came home and hung out for awhile. Every year we have a candle light dinner and the boys just love it. We had my parents up for dinner and we enjoyed having them up to spend Valentine's Day with us. After dinner we played some games and then settled down to watch a movie. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day and now we can't wait till St. Patrick's day for our green dinner.

Our Trip to California

Last weekend we flew to Vacaville California to surprise Mike's sister Debbie. We went down with Mike's sister Suzie and her little family. We left early Saturday morning and meet over at the airport. Ryan is a pilot and got the chance to fly us down on the plan that he flies. We arrived in California got out rental cars and then headed over to surprise Debbie. She had no idea that we were coming. Suzie had told her oldest daughter and she then told her dad that morning so someone at least knew that we were coming. We had a tons of fun, the kids played with their cousins, went and grabbed some lunch at the In and Out(love that restaurant could eat like 3 of those hamburgers and fries) headed back to Debbie's her husband had to leave town so we hung out for a little while. Mike was supper excited to go to Vacaville this is where he served his mission. He took us around to see some of his mission. He could even remember where his apartment was. After that we headed to a fun little park and the kids played and played. The next day we got up and headed to the Jelly Belly Factory. It was pretty cool to see how they make the jelly beans. The kids loved it. We stayed for the Super Bowel and had a lot of yummy food and then headed home. We had a lot of fun and own Ryan and Suzie a big thanks for the fun airplane ride. And Debbie for letting us crash at her house unexpected. We love you guys.

The New and Improved!

So my dear husband has not cut his hair for months. He had a goal not to cut it until his parents came home which is in April. I can only imagine what it would look like if he really did that. I told he couldn't do that he would look like Grizzly Adams or worse. So then he decided that he wouldn't cut it until his parents came home in February for a baptism thinking that if he waited it would make his parents come home early and stay home. Well today I finally convinced him that whether he cuts his hair or not his parents are not going to come home until April. He really misses his parents being gone, but I think he finally realized they aren't going to come home just for him to cut his hair. So tonight we went clean and got a new look.

I just want to wish my Grandma a very Happy Birthday! I love this lady more than anything. She is such a sweet and loving person. My children adore her and love their Grandma Fillmore. I honestly could not ask for a better grandma. She remembers every ones birthdays, willing to help anyone out, has enough love to share with the world, makes the best food, I love to hear her laugh and spend time with her, passed on the great trait of shopping, and has taught me so much throughout my life. Yesterday Austen's basketball coach called Mike and wanted to surprise the boys with a surprise visit over to where they were making the floor for the NBA All star Game. They all had to meet up at where he works and then they headed over to see how they make it and were able to take pictures with them standing on it. Austen was so excited when he got home. He can't wait to watch the game and say that he has stood on that floor before it was sent off. Tanner was also lucky enough to tag along with his brother and get some cute pictures of them together. I can honestly say that such small things brings kids so much happiness and excitement.

Can you guess what this is!

Yes, burnt macaroni and cheese, Easy Mac to be exact. I have no idea what I was thinking until my kitchen was full of smoke and the smell was atrocious. I totally forgot to put the water in before I put it in the microwave. I know how can you mess up easy mac. Well I did. My house still smells horrible. It will take days to get the smell out. Even with windows open, candles burning and air freshener.

Yesterday and last night we got a ton of snow. The boys have been playing in it all day. Mike and the boys decided to go out and build a snowman since it is the best snow for building a snowman. They were so cute and we dug out our snowman stuff to dress him up. The boys named him Frosty.

Pine Wood Derby 2009

Tanner had his Pine Wood Derby today and his car did very well. He took 1st in all of the races and was so excited. Mike and him worked hard on the car and wanted to make sure that it would go fast. He also got the most aerodynamic award. Way to go Tanner!

I absolutely love these pictures of Jake and Carter. I think they are so darn cute and the best of buds. They play so well together and are so funny how they play. They are almost 1 year apart. Carter's birthday is on May 28, 2006 and Jake's birthday is May 19,2007. They wear the same shoe size, same height, same size of clothes well most of them, the only difference is Jake has Carter on weight by like 7 pounds. I know Jake is a big boy, but wouldn't trade him for the world. Love them both tons and it will be fun to watch them grow up together.

So today Uncle Blake called and had a great surprise for Tanner. I had a pretty good idea when he called since he has been trying to catch one for months while he is at work. Tanner was so excited he has asked for a pet snake forever. I know call me crazy, but what do you do when Uncle Blake shows up at your house with a snake can't tell the poor kid no so I guess we will try it for awhile. One thing to remember is for some reason are pets don't last very long. We have had a hermit crab, fish, gecko and now a snake. Tanner set him up in his cage from the gecko and made a nice little home for him. So call me crazy, but I guess making your kids happy is what counts right!

Kid will be Kids!

Yesterday was one of those days. This is one post you will have to imagine, because I don't have any pictures to show. Austen had ball games yesterday so I decided to take the afternoon off. We went and watch him play and them grandpa and grandma took me and boys to lunch. After lunch we headed home Jake was super tired and ready for a nap. I came home put him down for a nap and that is when it all started. Auten and Tanner came in with some friends and asked if they could play down stairs I said, "sure if you guys are quiet because Jake is asleep". Well time went on and all of a sudden I start hearing the boys down stairs yelling we won your out all kinds of stuff and I thought they were just playing air hockey or some games we have down there until I start hearing all of this banging going on. That is when I decided to go and investigate the situation. I open the door to the basement and you will never believe what they had done. They dumped every tote that I own out in a pile and built walls out of them one for each team. When I opened the door all I saw was things flying including: tennis rackets, sleeping bags, decorations, pictures, wrapping paper, snow clothes, empty totes, and anything you could possibly imagine including potatoes. I was so furious I just look at my boys and said up stair now. They turned around and say to their friends I think my mom is mad. Do you think! I was so angry I couldn't even get mad they already knew what was to come. Cleaning the basement all by themselves. I made them sort everything back into piles and then find the right totes for everything. It took them the rest of the night to get it all cleaned up which they still have a little work to do to day on it. When I asked them what made them think it was okay to do something like that. They both said, "well you said we could play down stairs." So for their punishment they had to clean the basement which was complete torture for them, they lost the brand new psp's, and their dad grounded them from the basement forever. I had to post about this because deep down inside of me I mean deep down inside of me I had a little laugh and definitely something I will remember forever. I love them both so much and they are good boys, I just think that sometimes kids will be kids. But honestly what were they thinking!

First Snow Fall of 2008

The other night Mike was out shoveling the driveway and Jake was honestly have major anxiety not being able to go out, so I dressed him up and let him loose with his dad. He absolutely loved it and did not want to come in. The boys have been sledding every night with neighbor kids. I have to been a mean mom to get them to come in. They would stay out all night if I let them.

Austen's Preisthood Preview

Can't believe that my little boy will get the priesthood next year! Sunday Austen had his priesthood preview to talk to him and the other boys about the blessings of the priesthood and all of the wonderful things that you can do with the priesthood when they turn twelve. I am so proud of him and the person that he is becoming. He is growing up so fast and I am trying to let him grow up, but deep down inside I want him to stay my little boy forever. Enjoy the pictures he wasn't to happy I was taking them, but a mom will be a mom.

5 year Anniversary

This past weekend Mike and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We took off Friday night after work and headed to Salt Lake. We dropped the boys off at my sisters and headed down for some time ALONE. Friday night when we got there we went over to temple square and looked at the lights. That is one of my favorite things to do this time of the year. The temple grounds are so pretty with all of the lights. Then we headed to our hotel where we slept great and woke up at our own time. Saturday we headed out to do a little Christmas shopping and had a great lunch and then headed home since the roads were getting yucky. We had a great time. I want to tell Mike how much I love him, and tell him that these last 5 years have been the best years of my life. I can honestly say I have the best husband in the world. He takes such good care of me and our boys and works so hard to support us. I love you Mike!

Transition into Boy Scouts!

Last Saturday morning the boys had pack meeting for Scouts. Austen was pretty excited for this pack meeting. He has his transition from cub scouts to boys scouts. He thought it was pretty cool. He loves going to scout every Tuesday night at the church. They do some of their activities with the Deacons so he really enjoys going. Austen earned his Weblos badge, couple other segments and earned 9 pins to put on his shirt. I am very proud of him. He worked very hard to get it done. Tanner also earned some awards. I am very proud of him also. They both have enjoyed scouts. After the transition and awards they play some games and made refreshments. Just as you all know Jake had to be part of the action so here are some pictures of them pulling each other in the totes.

Thanksgiving Dinner

For Thanksgiving we headed up to Mike's parents. Mike's mom always has such a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and always has all the yummy trimmings to go along with it. We had turkey, ham, potatoes, rolls, all kinds of salads, and some very yummy pies and a chocolate fountain which the kids loved. Mike's parents play Bingo with everyone. They have prizes for the winners and they play one game of Black Out and the person that wins get $50.00. Mike won last year, but his brother Paul walked away with the $50.00 this year. After dinner some napped while other looked through the ads to see if they were any good deals for Black Friday. I just want to thank everyone for such a great Thanksgiving. Thanks to grandma and grandpa for such a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. We love ya.

Favorite time of the year!

I just have to tell all of you how excited I am for this time of the year. I have to say that this is one of my favorite seasons. I have always loved the winter time. When I was little I loved to help my dad hang lights, help mom put up the tree and getting ready for Christmas. One of my favorite things about this time of the year is playing in the snow. I love going sledding, building snowman's, sipping on hot chocolate, going up to the cabin with my family and just feeling the Christmas spirit. I changed my blog background and put on some Christmas music and it really got me excited for Christmas. On Saturday Mike hung up the lights outside. It take the poor guy 31/2 hours. We line the windows and all around the house I will have to post a picture later. I just have to tell you all how special my husband is. I am a little OCD when I comes to lights they have to be perfectly straight and even on the sides of the windows ( I know ridiculous), but he put them up with out one complaint and makes them look great! Although his rule is I can't turn them on or put up the tree until after Thanksgiving so I can't wait until Friday afternoon. I have to go to the crazy sales in the morning with my sister (Yes we are those crazy people) then come home a put up the tree. Also just wanted to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving drive safe and enjoy all the Thanksgiving trimmings.

Twilight Movie

Last night my sister Chris and my sister-in-law went the 12:30 a.m. showing of Twilight. We got our tickets last week and were excited to go and see it. I know that we are probably crazy for going so late, but we thought it would be fun to go have a little fun. We went about 11:00 and only had to stand in line for about 15 minutes so it wasn't to bad other that the wind made it kind of chilly. The movie started about 1:00 a.m. I know we are crazy. It lasted 2 hours so we rolled out of the theater at 3:00 a.m. It was pretty good, kind of slow towards the beginning and the actors a little different that what I imagined in the book, but it was fun. The only struggle is being a HAPPY mom for the day. 4 hours of sleep I just don't know if it will cut it for the day. I am still trying to catch up on sleep from my Vegas trip last week, but oh well have to do what you have to do. Thanks Chris and Suzie it was fun

Austen's Birthday!

Just wanted to wish my Austen a Happy Birthday, I know I am a few days late on the post, but this week has been crazy. Two birthdays, Halloween costumes, Halloween Parties, you name it and we have probably done it. Austen kinda had to parties on Sunday we got together with everyone and celebrated Austen and Justin's birthday's and then on Tuesday Mike picked him up from school and took him to lunch for his birthday and then later that night I made his favorite dinner along with some cupcakes and ice cream for dessert. We surprised him with a new bike that is all that he wanted. Here are some pictures from both parities.

Pumpkin Carving 2008

Here are our pumpkins that we carved on Saturday night. We had Blake and Shannon over for some pizza and to carve their pumpkin. The boys loved it, believe it or not they love to clean out the inside of the pumpkin. To me that is the worst part. Jake loved every minute of it and had pumpkin from one end to another.

Just wanted to wish Justin a very Happy Birthday today and tell him how much I love him. He turns 15 today and I can believe it. He has grown up to be such a handsome young man.

Couple things about Justin:

1. He has a great personality and can bring a smile to any ones face

3. Has a great deal of respect for his parents

5. Take great care of his little sisters and is willing to

Football Season has come to an end!

We this football season has come to an end. The boys did really good this year. They made it to the playoffs and came out in 3rd place. Austen and Tanner both played really well and I am so proud of them. Now we are off to the next sport. They are trying to talk me into letting them wrestle. I don't know about that one. I think it is so nasty! But we will have to see what happens.

Trip to the Cabin

This last weekend my whole family headed up to Island Park to the Cabin. We had so much fun spending time together. We laughed ate some good food, played some games, and watched some good movies. The kids did nothing but ride their motorbikes and the 4 wheelers all day. On Friday we headed to Yellowstone Park for the day had some lunch and watched some elk fight. We did not see much wildlife, but we still had a great time. This is my favorite time of the year the trees up in Island Park were so beautiful, I love the different colors up there. I love going to the cabin and getting away from the craziness of everyday life. Here are some pictures of our little get away.

Saturday Events

Today was the annual Spud Day down in Shelley. I have been to it every year since I can remember. We always went to the parade in the morning hurried over to get in line for a bake potato and then walk around and wait for the spud tug to start. I am sad to say that this year we had to miss it. Austen and Tanner had a football game up in Sugar City so we had to miss it so that they could go to their game. They did really good I was very proud of both of them. After the game we came home warmed up from the rain and then headed down to the Demolition Derby. I love going to it, every year me and my sisters say that we would love to race in the mini car heat. I told Steph that I don't think I could do it I would be laughing way to hard to concentrate on what I was suppose to be doing. We sit and laugh and the cars out there, can you imagine how hard we would be laughing if it was us on the other side we would look like a bunch of tards out there. Anyways it is fun to go and watch and the kids enjoy it, Jake loved the loud cars and thought it was pretty cool. Here are a few pictures from our day.

I know that I post a lot about my boys football games, but right now that is my life and I love watching them play, they grow so fast so you have to take in every little minute that you can, because before you know it they are gone and doing their own thing. I just want my 3 boys to know how much they mean to me and how much I love them. Way to go Austen and Tanner you did awesome today and Jake you were such a good boy.

Where did you meet? A girl that worked with me set us up on a blind date, I can honestly say it was love at first site.
How long did you date before you where married? We went on our first day in May and married in December so about 6-7 months.
How long have you been married? 5 wonderful years this December.
What does he do that surprises you? Love it when he cleans the house when I am gone and I come home to a spotless house ( even the is laundry done).
What is your favorite feature of his? I love his hands they are so strong, I feel so protected when I hold them.
What is your favorite quality of his? There is so many that I could name, but I have to say patience, he is one of the most patient people I know.
Does he have a nickname for you? Yes, he calls me honey or sweetie.
What is his favorite color? Turquoise Blue loves the colors of the Miami Dolphins.
What is his favorite Food? Mike loves a good steak and prime rib, but one thing about Mike is that he will eat anything that you give him and he loves to try new things.
What is his favorite sport? I would have to say that in number one favorite sport is Fly Fishing, he could spend hours on the lake fishing and catching fish and then letting them go he loves to fish, but hate eating it (crazy I know). He also likes to hunt, and watching Monday Night football.
When and where was your first kiss? About 1 month of dating and he was taking back to my car at Sportsman's Warehouse and before I got out of his truck he leaned over and gave me a kiss. My heart melted and I know I was in love.
Favorite thing to do as a couple? Just spending time together, nice dinner and movie or just a little drive to enjoy each others company.
Do you have any children? 3 wonderful boys: Austen 10, Tanner 9, and Jake 16 months.
Does he have a hidden talent? Can fix anything I may through his way.

Who said" I love you" first? Mike did and I can remember it like it was yesterday because it meant so much to me.
What is his favorite type of music? He pretty much listens to it all I don't think he really has a favorite just depends on his mood.
What do you admire about him the most? There is so much that I admire about my husband from being a GREAT father and husband to a hard worker and providing well for his family, he loves and supports us in everything that we do and I love him for that. He is also such a great example to our boys and his love for the church is amazing.
